At the end of the year, I use all my leftover pieces to create small items like boxes and cutting boards. The boxes are simple with splines at the corners for strength and solid wood tops from an assortment of woods, such as claro walnut, carob, mahogany, rosewood, eucalyptus, and bay laurel. The same is true for the bread boards. They are simple and proportionally made to feel good to the touch, usually with soft rounded edges – not too thick and not clunky. Most are laminated.
